Automotive Electronic Components, Radios, Door Controllers,
HVAC’s and
specifically the Instrument Clusters are becoming more and more complicated.
To test multiple clusters during PV and DV testing and for doing the components
software development, Instrument Cluster Simulators are necessary.
We built such a Simulator for our customer DENSO; it uses six High Speed and
six Medium Speed CAN busses and six RS-485 control and monitoring lines.
A multitude of pre-programmed customer specific test programs can be run by
a Dell Laptop computer. The simulator can also be used in manual mode.
Sometimes your customer is requesting a number of simulators
for the „Software
Bench” a tool used to test the whole car software functionality.
Working on our customers Simulators we spent hundreds of man-hours searching,
downloading datasheets and application notes, analyzing, experimenting with
demo boards, and sorting all this information. Some of the Simulators built by
our company are already on such Software Development benches, ex: GM Trucks and
Cadillac.
We realize that we only know and covered a small portion of
what is necessary to build Automotive Module Simulators in today’s
market. And each application is unique! Our experience will save customers
who decide to use our services
hundreds of man-hours and what is probably more important, help
them go in the right direction with the right Simulator and technology. So if
you are in a need for a Component Simulator, from a simple switch box
application,
or a Cluster Simulator to a more complicated DV, PV and Production Line
Tester our experience may help.
